Forest School

Green Park Community Primary School runs a full time Forest School on their wooded site in all weathers.

Our children can access this natural environment throughout the school year.

The daily sessions are run by qualified Forest School Leaders.

Forest School is a long-term process where children can develop their leadership, organisation, resilience, and communication skills through activities like fire lighting, cooking, camp building, using tools and problem solving.

Over time this increases their confidence, self esteem and independence.

Individual children learn to manage their own risks and how to explore the natural environment successfully through their self-led activities.
