Welcome to the Green Park Community Primary School website

If you are a parent, the website has everything you will need to know from dates to uniform rules.  If you are a visitor, then please take a look at our class pages and galleries to see the lovely work that goes on in Green Park every day.  If you are an inspector, then you are also welcome (but please remember to look at our data page, because we are very proud of the progress our children make).

Green Park is a relatively new school, opening fully in 2008; it was formed from the amalgamation of the Powell and Melbourne Schools.

Mr Richard Hawkins
Headteacher

Green Park is now known across Kent in its own right, as a school where children make accelerated progress and where staff and children have the opportunity to develop amazing talents.  We are blessed to have a staff of wonderfully inspiring and dedicated teachers and teaching assistants as well as a supportive but challenging board of governors.

Recently, Green Park has reached out to begin supporting other schools, both in Dover and across Kent and has also formed a collaboration, known as the Dover Collaboration of Schools, with Charlton CE Primary, St Richard RC Primary and Langdon Primary Schools.

The most important message for our school is summed up in our motto:

From tiny footsteps to giant leaps, laughing and learning all the way.

School should be fun.  It should be lively and it should be a place where children and adults grow into amazing people through mutual support and challenge.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

Year 6 Leavers' Assembly

Dear Parents and Carers,

A reminder that the Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly is on Friday 17th July and will start at 9:45am. The assembly will be in the school hall and will last around 40 minutes.

The children will then leave through the main school and down the field, where they will be waved off by the rest of the school. This will be around 10.30. They will then be able to go home, but they must be collected by an adult.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Huge thanks,

Mrs Harrison
