We were incredibly lucky to have had a visit from a local artist, Shane Record, to our school for an Art Day, where he amazed the children with his incredible talent. During his visit, the children watched in awe as he created a stunning painting of Dover Castle, which will be displayed in school.

Seeing a professional artist at work sparked their creativity. Inspired by Shane’s techniques, the children spent the rest of the day producing their own artwork, creating work of places from our local area. It was fantastic to see them so engaged, taking inspiration from the world around them.

Shane was equally impressed with our school, saying:

"I enjoyed every moment and was so impressed with Green Park! I thought the children behaved wonderfully. They were respectful and interested and asked me plenty of searching questions. Please thank them all from me for making me so welcome! And Charlie, of course, who is missing all their attention already. Every member of staff I dealt with was also most welcoming. Thank you."

It was such a brilliant day, and the children loved every moment. A huge thank you to Shane for inspiring them and sharing his amazing talent with us!
