Come and Play Royal Banquet

Every king and queen knows how to have a good feast, and where better to host that than in Palace class?

We have had a brilliant end to our topic on Castles.  We have been learning about Dover Castle and how people lived there, our country’s royal family and the royal wedding coming up this year so a feast shared with parents and friends was the best way to celebrate all our learning.

The children enjoyed getting ready for the feast.  They loved making pizzas, especially preparing the toppings as well as making their own goblets for the feast.  We have been learning all about banquets that kings and queens had hundreds of years ago and while roasted deer and pigeon pies were popular back then, they were all much happier to prepare their favourite foods to share at their own banquet!

A big thank you to all the grown-ups who came and joined us, the children were so excited to have you visit them.

We’re now just waiting for our ducks to hatch! (don’t worry, they won’t be forming part of a feast!)
