๐ŸŒŸ Year 4 Term 4 Blog ๐ŸŒŸ

This term has been packed with exciting learning opportunities, creativity, and new experiences for our Year 4 classes! Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to.

๐Ÿบ Ancient Egyptians Topic

Our main topic this term has been the Ancient Egyptians. We explored their fascinating civilisation, including pyramids, mummies, and the importance of the River Nile. The children were particularly interested in how the Egyptians lived and their beliefs about the afterlife.

โœ๏ธ Writing Diary Entries

As part of our English work, we wrote diary entries from different perspectives. Some children wrote as powerful pharaohs, while others took on the role of Egyptian slaves. This helped us to understand what life might have been like in Ancient Egypt, and the writing was full of imagination and thoughtful ideas.

๐Ÿงต Experimenting with Sewing

In Design and Technology, we developed our skills by experimenting with sewing. The children practised different stitching techniques and showed great patience and determination while creating their pieces.

๐Ÿ“š World Book Day

We had a brilliant time celebrating World Book Day! Everyone dressed up as their favourite fairy tale characters and enjoyed sharing stories together. It was wonderful to see such excitement and enthusiasm for reading.

๐Ÿฆ Ordering Ice Cream in Spanish

In Spanish lessons, we learned how to order ice cream. The children practised speaking in Spanish, using phrases confidently to ask for different flavours. It was a fun and interactive way to build language skills!

๐ŸŽฉ Easter Hat Parade

To end the term, we took part in our colourful Easter Hat Parade. The children created fantastic hats at home and proudly showed them off in school. The creativity on display was amazing and made for a joyful celebration.

โœจ Well done to all of Year 4 for a fantastic term full of learning, creativity, and enthusiasm. We are very proud of everything you have achieved and look forward to another exciting term ahead!
