Year 2 to 3 school dinners

Dear Parents/Carers

 

UNIVERSAL FREE SCHOOL MEALS

 

You may or may not be aware, that once your child reaches Year 3, School Dinners have to be paid for.

 

The cost of these is £2.20 per day per child.  This needs to be paid in advance or on the day.  Please be aware that if monies are not paid a packed lunch will need to be provided.

 

If you are in receipt of any of the following, your child may be entitled to Free School Meals:

 

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit (not including Working Tax Credit) - if the household income is below £16,190
  • Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
  • an income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 if you are an asylum seeker

    You must receive one of these benefits to qualify:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit (not including Working Tax Credit) - if the household income is below £16,190
  • Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
  • an income-related Employment and Support Allowance

    We may ask for proof of benefit after you apply.

  • Child tax credit with an annual gross income into the household that is no more than £16,190, provided you are not entitled to working tax credit.
  • If you are entitled to any part of working tax credit there is no eligibility with the exception of working tax run-on as shown below.
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.
  • Universal Credit
